Ralph McQuarrie, a conceptual artist most notably known for his work on original Star Wars trilogy, died yesterday at the age of 82. He also worked on original Battlestar Galactica series, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park and others. For his work on movie Cocoon he won an Academy Award for Visual Effects in 1985.
